Blog Tour: Everything We Found by Kerry Lonsdale

#BlogTour: Everything We Found by Kerry Lonsdale

For this blog tour, we're looking at an excellent and exciting conclusion to a series readers thought for nearly a decade had already concluded. For this blog tour, we're looking at Everything We Found by Kerry Lonsdale.

First, the review I posted to the book sites (BookBub.com BookHype.com / Goodreads.com / TheStoryGraph.com), and YouTube:

Unexpected And Excellent Conclusion To A Series Thought To Have Already Concluded. Years ago now, in the period when I began ramping up my reading but before I had actually created my book blog, BookAnon dot com, I read Lonsdale's excellent Everything trilogy. The mystery, the romance, everything about this trilogy... I never realized it had been her very *first* three books, as they were, well, everywhere back then - at least in my own circles. I became a fan, and I've had the honor of working very nearly every book since this trilogy as an Advance Reader Copy, including this one.

But y'all, a decade of *my* reading is a *LOT* of books - over 1,800 and counting, to be at least in the ballpark. So I for one was very glad that this was written as a "standalone" with enough (relevant) details from the prior stories to be able to walk into this story with little difficulty, even with the prior books *that* far back in both years and books.

Still, to get the true full impact and experience, I absolutely recommend reading the other three books first, and then coming to this one... at least in part because this one spins the other three completely on their heads, and to get that full effect, you really need to read those books first. At which point you'll be fully primed for the massive cranial infarctions you're about to have with this one. ;)

Lonsdale has clearly evolved in the intervening years. The trials and tribulations she has publicly spoken of have tested her in ways fortunately few of us can truly imagine, though in some ways that unfortunately far too many are far too familiar with. Her storytelling, both the stories and how she writes them, has clearly evolved and become that much stronger. Maybe I'm reading a bit into this text, but I think at least some of this comes through here with an added depth that as good as the first three books were - and they truly were phenomenal - I really do think this added depth of personal experience and experience as a writer seeps through into this text and helps elevate this particular story that much more.

The original Everything trilogy was already *right* up there among truly the strongest I've ever read, even though I generally don't mention it as much all these years later. (Though I did when they were more recent and I was a less experienced book blogger who hadn't read near the volume I have now.)

This entry? Truly takes it to an entirely new level. Lonsdale doesn't miss a single step and in fact shows that experience does indeed have benefits, and it really does show here.

Read the original trilogy first, if you haven't yet.

Then read this one and prepare to have your mind blown.

And for those who *have* read the original trilogy, even when it was first published all those years ago... step right back in. There is more than enough here to bring you up to speed again rapidly, and if you thought what you already read was good, well, you aint seen nothing yet.

Very much recommended.

Book Description:

From multi-million copy bestselling author Kerry Lonsdale comes a heart-pounding and suspenseful romance full of longing, heat and a second chance at love against the odds…

On the outside, Nadia Jacobs is a cool, confident architect at the top of her game. But for the past decade, she’s been quietly building walls to keep the people she loves most at arm’s length. All because of him.

Thomas Donato sacrificed everything when he forced Nadia to keep a dangerous secret from everyone they knew. He did it to protect his family. But it cost him the woman he’s secretly loved since they were kids.

Now he wants back into Nadia’s life. Nadia’s heart does a familiar skip-and-stumble when met with his hesitant smile, but she sees through his bravado: Thomas is achingly alone. And letting him in risks losing everyone and everything she holds dear.

When his past abruptly crashes into their present, they are both suddenly on the run. Not only are they forced to confront the price of a secret they’ve kept for a decade, but a truth even more treacherous: their feelings for each other.

With time running out and nowhere to hide, will their love heal what darkness broke in them all those years ago, or will it shatter them forever?

Everything We Found is the epic and devastatingly romantic final novel in the unforgettable Everything series. Fans of Catherine Cowles, Colleen Hoover and Lucy Score will be totally obsessed.
