Book Review: Hand Of The Nazarene by Randy Moon

Solid Thriller Will Make You Think - And Has Interesting Real-World Implications. This is a book that takes a passage that I literally preached my first (and so far only) "official" sermon on - John 8's "Woman Caught In Adultery", the famous "go and sin no more" encounter - and spins it into a modern day almost Dan Brown meets National Treasure type of tale where the action is tight, there is at least some travelling around... and a lot of shadowy figures are always *right there* lurking.

Now, one would think that with the title and even that opening paragraph, this wouldn't *need* to be said, but this is the 2020s so allow me to say it anyway: If you've got some personal hang-up against Christianity for whatever reason... this is *not* the book for you. While it is never really preachy, and actually at least somewhat subversive in a lot of ways, it *is* an explicitly Christian book that does not apologize for this in any way. In fact, it actually goes through a wide swath of Christianity as it exists today and both criticizes and supports various things about quite a few different groups within modern day Christendom.

But for those that like action/ adventure books for the more "thinking man", this is one of those books that has that exact kind of reader squarely in focus throughout, and really does a great job hitting that exact kind of vibe.
