For this next entry in the Twelve Days Of Romance blog tour series, we’re looking at a solid and short tale with a possibly questionable ending that you should absolutely read and decide for yourself about. For this blog tour, we’re looking at Falling For The Baldasseri Prince by Rebecca Winters.
Solid, Short, Semi-Questionable Ending. This is a fairly standard-ish modern royal romance ala a cross between Hallmark and Princess Diaries. And along that vein, it works quite well and particularly given its short-ish (18o ish page) length, manages to pack quite a bit of story into this tale. My biggest question is whether or not the author put too much sex in the tale – even if in just about the most chaste way possible – for it to truly qualify as a “clean romance”. Beyond that particular point though, truly a well told story with arguably extraneous ending material. But even with these last two points… read it for yourself and decide for yourself. š Very much recommended.

Much as heād wanted to take her to a restaurant, he didnāt want to create publicity until the news of his broken engagement had circulated and died down. For now, this kind of excursion would have to do. Despite saying goodbye to Karl, he couldnāt remember the last time heād been this relaxed and happy. Sheād made all the difference.
Once heād driven her to the apartment complex, he shut off the engine and turned to her. āI want to thank you for helping me get through this day.ā
āTo be honest, it helped me too,ā came her unexpected response without looking at him. āI find Iām attached to all my patients, especially ones that look like my last dog. Karl headed the list. Daniel says I need to toughen up, but I have a feeling thereās no cure for it.ā
Every word out of her mouth enchanted him. He had to see her again. āSince you told me Daniel asked you to watch some videos on the Biosphere Reserve, I thought you might be interested in meeting the biologist who used to work with Dr. Zenger. The conservation board is meeting Tuesday evening at the information center here in Zernez. The chief ranger of the park will be speaking.ā
āI would absolutely love it!ā she exclaimed without hesitation. āI was envious when Daniel told me Dr. Zenger helped take care of some of the animals up there. What time does this meeting start and Iāll drive over.ā
āSeven oāclock. The information center consists of three buildings. The meeting will take place in the Planta-Wildenberg castle. Iāll look for you there.ā
āThank you so much for giving me the opportunity, and for the dinner.ā She started to get out of the car.āIt was my pleasure. See you there.ā
He waited until he could see she was safely inside her apartment, then he left for home with a new excitement. Only three more days before he saw her again.
